Business Need
As part of a cost-reduction strategy, SAS set a goal to cut the total cost of ownership of its budgeting ecosystem by half within 5 years’ time. The existing setup, based on multiple legacy solutions, was expensive to maintain and slowed down critical processes and decision making.
Solution
Sigma Software began with a detailed analysis of the ecosystem to pinpoint cost drivers and performance bottlenecks. Based on these findings, we defined a phased modernization plan. Outdated and high-maintenance modules were gradually replaced with modern applications, and manual workflows were automated to reduce effort and errors.
In parallel, we enhanced system performance and ensured smooth integration across finance, fuel, and operations. To keep the ecosystem stable and cost-efficient, our team also took over long-term support and maintenance of more than ten interconnected systems.
