SoftServe Has Built Over 200 AI Solutions. How Does Their GenAI Lab Work?

The SoftServe team has developed more than 200 artificial intelligence–based solutions for over a hundred clients — and continues to create AI tools for internal use as well. More than 150 specialists are currently working on AI-driven projects, and the company has also formed a dedicated group of 40 Intelligence Engineers. SoftServe shares who these specialists are, what talent the company still needs, and how its GenAI Lab operates in this article.

How SoftServe’s GenAI Lab Works

The GenAI Lab develops automation agents to speed up software development, as well as specialized agents for specific business tasks. Examples include drug discovery platforms, hyper-personalized shopping assistants, and manufacturing assistants.

In two years, the GenAI Lab team has built over 200 AI solutions for more than a hundred clients. These services are now among the company’s fastest-growing areas — with 85% year-over-year growth. The greatest demand is for agentic systems.

GenAI Lab creates solutions from prototype to large-scale business deployment for clients such as Cisco and Dell. The products can be deployed in any environment — from cloud to on-premises servers — using technologies from NVIDIA, AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

Using AI Inside the Company

Beyond creating AI-based solutions for clients, SoftServe also applies agents internally to accelerate its own development processes and optimize corporate workflows.

The company’s portfolio already includes dozens of internally built AI agents that automate project planning, analytics, testing, and engineering tasks.
SoftServe is also developing its own Agentic Intelligence Open Platform, designed to make AI system development and implementation faster and more efficient.

AI agents are being tested directly on client projects, and depending on the case, their use can reduce development time and costs by 30% to 70%.

Who Builds AI Agents at SoftServe

More than 150 experts are currently involved in AI application projects, forming cross-functional teams specializing in large language models (LLMs), agent engineering, and AI-assisted development.

Despite growing demand, the company notes a significant shortage of high-level talent, especially in data science.
SoftServe has also introduced a new role: the Intelligence Engineer. This specialist is responsible for the interface between human expertise and agent output: orchestrating agents, verifying results, and ensuring proper integration.

The GenAI Lab currently employs 40 Intelligence Engineers, with plans to double the team over the next year.
