Formpipe, a major ECM vendor in the Nordics, needed to modernize and expand its product suite to serve government, healthcare, and public-sector clients. Their goals included reliable document workflows, compliant long-term archiving, and secure mobile access, all under strict regulations and at national scale.

Solution

Sigma Software has worked with Formpipe for more than 15 years, supporting product development across the entire portfolio.

We helped evolve the Platina ECM platform, which is now used by 80 percent of Swedish government institutions, by delivering new features and ensuring compliance with each release. W3D3 gained workflow automation, advanced search, versioning, and SaaS delivery options.

We also supported Formpipe new product development by creating a long-term archiving system that was built from scratch on ISO 14721 and 15489 standards, designed to preserve over 27 document formats for decades while maintaining integrity and traceability. Apart from that, we complimented the product suite with Meetings Plus app that introduced secure mobile access to sensitive meeting documents, with annotation, notifications, and device management support.

 Alongside product development, we worked closely with Formpipe’s own teams, monitoring evolving market requirements and regulatory changes, and adapting the products so they remained compliant and competitive.
