Migrating and Scaling a Medical Device Monitoring Platform for Real-Time Insights

Business Need

Siemens Healthineers needed to move its CT scanner monitoring system into the cloud to be able to handle growing volumes of device usage data or deliver insights fast enough for global teams.

Solution

As part of a joint initiative with Siemens, Microsoft, and Databricks, Sigma Software took responsibility for the analytics track. More than 15 years of usage data were migrated, ETL pipelines were rebuilt in Databricks and Spark, and dashboards were set up in Power BI and Qlik to provide near real-time insights. Our team also introduced reusable templates, tuned performance, and actively contributed to the wider program focused on adopting more structured delivery practices.

• Device monitoring and analytics now run on a scalable cloud platform
