Predicting Degradation Level in Hydraulic Systems
About the customer: the US-based manufacturing company.
Business challenge: The customer faced the challenge of the specific components’ malfunctioning in the hydraulic system which brought extra maintenance costs and affected the operations of the entire facility. Hence, they needed to build a technology solution that would address this issue.
Solution: Our ML engineers implemented an ML-based system that could predict the degradation level of specific components with a high level of accuracy and, thus, ensure proper maintenance of the hydraulic system.
Business outcome:
- Now, the customer can predict the degradation level of the key components with over 90% accuracy.
- The predictive maintenance solution allowed for proper maintenance of the hydraulic system in advance and benefited the company with cost reduction and lower downtime.
- We also conducted staff training on how to use the ML solution properly in production.
