IoT Web-Based Data Management System for Precision Temperature Monitoring

The goal was to develop Sensilla, a web-based system designed to measure, monitor, and manage precise temperature data. The system needed to pull real-time data from sensors, send alert notifications, generate detailed reports, and present data visually with charts. It also required role-based access control and smooth data migration capabilities.

Solution

Precision and efficiency are becoming more and more necessary as industries change. Born out of the joint efforts of Twincore’s tech pioneers, Sensilla is a shining example of innovation in the field of temperature monitoring products. To achieve these objectives, the Twincore team provided the following solutions:

  1. Real-time data retrieval. We developed a system that allows users to continually monitor temperature data by fetching data in real-time from various sensors and displaying it on a website.
  2. Alarms notification system. We added an alarm notification feature that sends alerts to mobile devices or emails if the temperature strays from the expected range, enabling timely responses.
  3. Reporting system. Users can export data into CSV or PDF formats, either grouped by all transmitters or specific ones, making it easier to analyze and document temperature data.
  4. Charts and visualizations. We created charts to show temperature values over day, week, and month periods, helping users track and analyze temperature trends effectively.
  5. Role-based access control. The system includes role-based access control, allowing root users to assign specific permissions to other users, and ensuring secure and controlled access to the data.
  6. Data migration and performance optimization. We facilitated the migration of SQL data from Azure SQL to MongoDB and fix performance issues on MS SQL to keep the system running smoothly.
