Creo: development of a seamless online edtech platform
About the client
Our client, an education expert, specializes in creating courses for creatives. After exploring various platforms, he found that none fully met his needs for usability, service integrations, or his unique vision for gamification.
Throughout the project, the client was a true visionary, actively participating in planning and idea generation. Our team worked closely with him to bring these ideas to life.

Challenge
We set out to create a basic yet comprehensive LMS product that would meet all necessary market requirements for both users and course creators. Our ambitious vision included integrating gamification.
This challenge led us to plan the creation of a new startup. The result is a Learning Management System (LMS) initially named «CREO».
We needed to properly scope this significant project. The product had to include essential features that were both cohesive and user-friendly. With only four months to launch the MVP, we focused on using our resources as efficiently as possible.
Response
Yeah, that’s a pretty comprehensive task with a raw starting point, but we began by strategizing the implementation, researching the market, proposing new features, and scoping the project.
A large-scale project requires consistent execution with proper prioritization, so we started with an MVP.
Our MVP needed to address the core needs of the educational product for both students and administrators. Students needed the ability to take courses, while administrators required the capability to efficiently upload materials.
Solution for CREO
1. Developing the MVP
Over four months, the Goodface team crafted the product’s initial version, complete with course creation capabilities. We also integrated a store to purchase additional materials. The tools were designed to be user-friendly, featuring an intuitive interface and a sleek aesthetic. Students could start building their study plans by combining various courses and materials.
2. Further development plan
Following the MVP launch, we analyzed client feedback and user requests, researched the most popular features, and identified areas needing improvement. With these insights and our drive to implement breakthrough features, we crafted a strategy for the next phase of development.
Innovations
We’ve crafted a comprehensive feature set that makes learning more dynamic and keeps users fully engaged.
1. Payment systems
Previously, customers faced limitations in payment flexibility. To address this, our developers prioritized implementing quick and easy payment options through Stripe, PayPal, and Wayforpay.
2. Useful educational tools
Studying shouldn’t be a chaotic experience. To bring structure and clarity, we decided to add planners, testing, and graphics.
3. Gamification
Modern education isn’t about boring rote memorization. We’ve personalized the experience by introducing characters. You can choose your avatar, earn daily rewards, level up, and track your progress with a dynamic progress bar. It’s all about engagement. On the platform, you can earn Creoins – a fictional currency – to spend in the gift store. With a leaderboard feature, you can interact and compete with others, making learning more exciting and interactive.
4. Artificial intelligence (AI)
Our target audience is creatives who constantly seek out cutting-edge solutions. During our work on the project, ChatGPT was released. We quickly embraced this trend and integrated it into our platform, resulting in an unparalleled tool that channels and amplifies the creative energy of our students.
5. Dashboards and analytics
As the number of courses and students grew, we needed a way to simplify classroom management and track platform growth. To achieve this, we developed intuitive dashboards that present information in a structured format, using graphs and diagrams.
Impact
The team recognized that we had created an innovative product with significant scaling potential.
This fact led us to transform it into a full-fledged SaaS platform, making it available for other businesses to use. What began as a B2C project evolved into a B2B solution.
We developed a detailed transformation plan that allows clients to purchase the educational platform as a fully operational tool for running their own courses. With a subscription, clients receive their own subdomain, a separate admin panel, and a dedicated student area. The platform can be branded to match their unique style.
Today, we offer a complete white-label solution tailored for educational businesses.
Result
Currently, the platform hosts over 35,000 students, and CREO is used as a SaaS product by 40 clients, ranging from large enterprises like supermarkets to niche projects such as online meditation courses.
We actively gather feedback and insights from our users to introduce innovations quickly and continue growing as a startup. This approach has already led to an increase in course completion rates from 35% to 65%. CREO now leads the industry in this metric, far surpassing the average completion rate of 13% (according to SupplyGem).
Beyond enhancing the platform’s educational features, we’re making CREO a self-sufficient product. We’re creating more opportunities for teachers and expanding marketing and sales functionalities. This ensures our clients receive a complete solution, allowing them to focus on developing their educational projects without worrying about lead generation or promotion.Vitalii ValkovCEO at CREO
Where we’re now
After launching our MVP, the team joined the StartUp Academy 2.0 accelerator by Genezis and Meta, landing in the TOP 30 out of 3000 startups.
Throughout the entire project, the Goodface team was fully immersed, bringing fresh ideas and strategic development concepts to the table. Impressed by our commitment and vision, the client decided to offer us a partnership.
We’ve created something truly special, and our audience loves it. Now, Goodface and CREO are teaming up as partners, developing and scaling the project together. We’re seeing strong demand and have plans to expand into new countries. Stay tuned – there’s much more to come!Max YakubovychCEO at Goodface
