Client Overview:

Dr. Todd is an established expert in psychological and educational assessments. He has developed a series of proprietary assessment frameworks, which are currently being used by prestigious institutions such as Biola University, Ascend, and various Community Bible Colleges. These assessments help schools and universities gain valuable insights into student well-being, spiritual growth, and academic performance, enabling administrators and faculty to make informed decisions based on comprehensive data.

Challenge:

Traditionally, Dr. Todd relied on Qualtrics to create and distribute his assessments. After students completed the assessments, he had to manually export the data into Stata, clean and prepare it, and then import it into Tableau to generate visual reports. This manual process was time-consuming, required specialized software knowledge, and limited scalability.

Furthermore, there was no way to track how clients were using the assessments or reviewing reports, making it difficult to understand which parts of the content provided the most value.

Solution: Alidade Platform Development

To overcome these limitations and provide a streamlined, scalable solution, we designed and developed the Alidade Platform—an integrated system that automates the entire workflow from survey creation to final reporting and usage tracking. This platform brings together various functionalities under a single system, eliminating the need for third-party software and manual data management, while providing visibility into how assessments and reports are utilized.

Key Features & Benefits:

1. Automated Survey Distribution & Management:

• Schools and universities can easily purchase assessment licenses and distribute surveys to their students.

• Administrators have full control over which assessments are sent out and to whom, with automated reminders for survey completion.

2. Real-Time Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Instead of manual data exports and imports, Alidade integrates a real-time analytics engine that processes responses immediately.

• This allows Dr. Todd and his clients to generate reports at both group and individual levels directly from the system.

3. Enhanced Reporting Capabilities:

• Alidade provides dynamic group reports that give administrators actionable insights into student performance and well-being.

• Students can receive individualized reports that offer personal insights, empowering them to act on their results.

4. Integrated User Roles:

• The system supports multiple user roles, such as Coaches and Coachees. Coaches can manage and distribute surveys, track progress, and view reports for their assigned coachees.

• This role-based access enables institutions to manage large numbers of users without compromising data security or usability.

5. Custom Survey Flow and Embedded Data (ED) Fields:

• The platform supports complex logic and branching, similar to Qualtrics, for showing or hiding survey blocks based on embedded data fields (e.g., Campus, Athlete Status).

• Schools can customize the survey flow to fit specific subgroups, making the assessments more relevant and targeted.

6. Activity Tracking & Insight Generation:

• The Alidade Platform includes activity tracking to monitor survey creation and report reviewing activities.

• This feature helps identify which parts of the assessments and reports are most or least used by clients, enabling administrators and Dr. Todd to optimize content and provide the highest value based on usage patterns.

7. Architecture & Design:

• The Alidade Platform’s architecture was built to scale with the growing needs of educational institutions.

• We have developed detailed architecture schemas, Swagger documentation, UX wireframes, UI designs, and a partially completed frontend that provides a clear vision of the final product.

8. Visual Dashboard & Insights:

• The platform includes a visually rich dashboard that allows administrators to explore data intuitively, replacing the need for Tableau.

• Custom visualization features are built-in, allowing for immediate insights without requiring additional software.

Impact:

By implementing the Alidade Platform, Dr. Todd and his partner institutions have drastically reduced the time and effort required for data processing and reporting. This new solution allows for seamless scaling, making it easier to onboard new institutions and provide them with a robust, end-to-end assessment solution. Additionally, the ability to track usage patterns and activity has enabled Dr. Todd to refine his assessments and reports, ensuring they deliver the highest value to clients.
